Pea Affila Microgreens Seeds – Crunchy, Slightly Sweet & Packed with Nutrients
What makes Erwt Affila microgreens so special?
Pea Affila (Pisum sativum) microgreens are one of the easiest and fastest growing microgreens to grow. They have a delicious slightly sweet, nutty pea flavor and a firm, crunchy texture. This makes them a perfect addition to salads, sandwiches, and stir-fries.
Compared to the Green Pea microgreens, the Affila variety has smaller seeds and no long tendrils , allowing them to grow more compactly and require fewer seeds per tray.

Grow your own Affila Pea Microgreens – Ready in 9-12 days!
These microgreens are perfect for beginners. Follow these simple steps:
1. Soak seeds for a quick start
- Place the seeds in a container or net and let them soak in water for 6-12 hours .
- This helps activate germination and ensures faster and more even growth.
2. Sowing in a growing tray
- Use a shallow tray with 2 cm of fine potting soil .
- Sow 75-90 grams of peas per 1010" tray (25x25 cm) or 150-180 grams per 1020" tray (25x50 cm).
- For best results, use a tray with holes in a sealed tray to allow excess water to drain and prevent mold.
3. Germination phase (Dark period, 2-3 days)
- Press the seeds lightly and gently moisten the soil.
- Cover the tray with another tray and place extra weight on top to keep the seeds firmly in the soil.
- Within 2-3 days the young plants will push up the tray – time for the next phase!
4. Stretching Phase (Day 4-6, grow in the dark - optional)
- Give one last watering from above and place the tray upside down over the plants.
- This creates a dark environment , which makes the shoots extra long and strong .
5. Growth phase (Light & watering)
- After day 4-6 remove the tray and expose the microgreens to grow light or daylight .
- Water from underneath daily to prevent moisture problems and mold.
6. Harvesting and storing
- After 9-12 days the microgreens are ready to harvest!
- Cut them off just above the roots with a sharp knife or scissors.
- Store harvested microgreens in the refrigerator and use within a few days for maximum freshness.
