    1. Sow in a growing tray

    • Use a shallow tray with 2 cm of fine potting soil .
    • Sow 12 grams of seeds per 1010" tray (25x25 cm) or 24-28 grams per 1020" tray (25x50 cm).
    • For best results, use a tray with holes in a sealed tray to allow excess water to drain and prevent mold.

    2. Germination phase (Dark period, 3-5 days)

    • Press the seeds lightly and gently moisten the soil.
    • Cover the tray with another tray and place extra weight on top to keep the seeds firmly in the soil.
    • Within 3-5 days the young plants will push up the tray – time for the next phase!

    3. Growth phase (Light & watering)

    • Remove the cover tray and place the microgreens under grow lights or in a sunny window frame .
    • Water daily from below by lifting the tray with holes and pouring water into the closed tray.
    • This prevents mold formation and ensures firm, healthy microgreens.

    4. Harvesting and storing

    • After 7-10 days the microgreens are ready to harvest!
    • Cut them off just above the roots with a sharp knife or scissors.
    • Store harvested microgreens in the refrigerator and use within a few days for maximum freshness.
