Supplies: A shallow growing tray, fine potting soil or coconut fibre, water and light.
Step-by-step instructions for your pea microgreens:
Soak seeds (6–12 hours) Soak the seeds in water to activate germination.
Sowing in a tray Sow 75–90 grams per 1010" tray or 150–180 grams per 1020" tray on a ±2 cm layer of potting soil. Press lightly and spray with water.
Dark germination phase (2–3 days) Cover with a tray and put some weight on it. This way the roots grow firmly downwards.
Stretching phase for longer sprouts (days 4–6, optional) Place the tray upside down over the seedlings for extra length.
Growing Microgreens Under Light Remove the cover and place the tray in daylight or under grow light. Water from below to prevent mold.
Harvest sprouts after 9–12 days Cut just above the roots with clean scissors. Store the harvested microgreens in the refrigerator and use them within a few days.
