Fill a tray with moist substrate (e.g. kitchen paper or coconut fiber)
Sow the seeds close together, but without letting them lie on top of each other
Press lightly and spray with a fine sprayer -
Germination stage (1–2 days)
Cover the tray with foil or a transparent lid
Place in a warm place (18–22 °C)
Keep the substrate slightly moist -
Growth under light (day 3–6)
Remove the cover as soon as the blades are visible
Place the tray in a light spot (window sill or under a grow lamp)
Continue to spray lightly daily or water from below -
Harvesting (day 5–7)
Cut the garden cress just above the substrate with clean scissors
Eat them immediately or store in the refrigerator for a few days
